-Collage of Scrappy and Diamond when it was all good!
If you watched Love & Hip Hop ATL on VH1 Monday night, you were in for a real treat. Ooh it was rachet but in a good way. I noticed on their debut episode, they mentioned Atlanta rapper Diamond (Lil’ Scrappy’s ex fiance’ and former member of the Hip Hop group, Crime Mobb) quite often. Hearing her name made me think about
All the cute little pictures I used to see with her and Scrappy. Needless to say I loved them together.
I loved Diamond and Scrappy together because they were both young, hood, in the business and they seemed to have a true love for each other. It seemed like there was love and happiness until I saw a picture of her with Soulja Boy all booed up. The picture of Diamond and Soulja Boy really confused the hell out of me. I just think they were one odd couple. I guess that was a “bag him so I can get some of that cash” ordeal. Either way something wasn’t right.

No matter how many women throw the panties at you, seeing the love of your life and the woman you planned on marrying with Soulja Boy will make any man sick to their stomach especially if you are G’d up from the feet up like Scrappy is. Needless to say homeboy was hurt and his moms, Mama Dee, came out on the radio and hammered Diamond’s ass.
Scrappy was then seen around town with VH1′s own Shay aka Buckeey from Flavor of Love. That too was also another odd couple. Now a year later, here is this show Love & Hip Hop with Scrappy, Mama Dee, and Scrappy’s baby mother Erica, who is taking Scrappy leaving her for Diamond and coming back to her once Diamond left him all too well. Hey, I guess she wanted to be a star so I guess they arranged an oh “let’s just pretend we are an item so I can get my own check” debacle. Either way, I’m not mad at them.

Erica asked Scrappy right away would he be with her if Diamond didn’t go off with Soulja Boy. I respected him because he straight up admitted that he didn’t know the answer to that question.
At that very moment, a love coach like myself saw that that that Soulja Boy fiasco still made him feel funny and that he was still in love with Diamond. More proof that he was still feeling her was when Mama Dee told Erica that Scrappy took Diamond back in for a month after the Soulja Boy thing and he told his mother that she basically should be happy if he was happy. I know Mama Dee was fuming when he told her that but these mothers must learn that they can’t pick and choose their children mates. You have to let them do them and hope and pray that you raised them right enough to make a good decision. We will go in more about this on my next post about mamas and their sons.
Anyway, I started to wonder what made Scrappy and Diamond break up in the first place and my bet is money. Money is a very touchy subject when you and your mate are both self-employed. Sometimes ish get real tricky, especially if you dont pace yourself. Diamond likes money, hell what girl doesn’t? There were rumors that she was suffering from severe financial troubles (been there) which included the repo and foreclosure man (never been there) and maybe she felt she needed a man who can take care of her. It seems as if Scrappy took care of Diamond as much as he could and maybe he couldn’t give anymore.
With money strains come more relationship pains…
When your money is funny all of a sudden, everything in your relationship begin to go down the mother effing hill. Remember I don’t know these two personally (I met Diamond twice) so everything I am talking about is straight off speculation. I doubt they broke up over groupie love!!!
Sometimes when you are both young and is in an industry as crazy as the entertainment industry, the pressures can mess up a relationship for real. It’s hard being around women who are married to men who buy them everything and get them every plastic surgery in America and you are sitting there, people are asking you for your autograph just like homegirl but you can’t afford what she has. Then you go home comparing your man with her man and well you know the rest. The best thing you have to do in that situation is just focus on your relationship; what she eat don’t make you sh*t. You can’t worry about what the next chick’s man bought her or done for her, you just got to do you. The pressure to be fly is crazy but you gotta know what is real and hopefully that is your love.
I also think Mama Dee had a little bit to do with them breaking up too but I think that there is also more to the story.
Overall, he is still in love with Diamond. I believe that they will get back with each other especially after they both grow up and get their bread right. If they were smart they will have a sweet ending on the show and turn this 15 minutes of reality show fame until a full fledge business of getting money. We shall see how it works out. My bet is they will be back an item and there wont be anything anyone would be able to do. They are meant for each other and will go down as one of the best couples in the hip hop… Well at least in ATL.

Hey any man who throws a birthday party for his daughter with a chick who isn’t the mother is definitely open. I say they must get back if Lil’ Scrappy ever want to be happy!

If he gets back with her then thats cool. I feel bad for erica who seems to love scrappy, and had to endure humiliation of being cheated on in the public eye & disrespected. I have no doubt that scrappy was cheating on erica with diamond, which makes diamond another a.keys, hoe type of female. If she left scrappy for money then I don’t think she deserves him to begin with but then again Karma is a bitch, and that was probably his pay back for doing his baby mama wrong. It’s clear the RIGHT female for him is erica
((Clapping Hands)).. I agree with Ty. Karma defiantely paid him a visit. He tried to sh** on Erica and thought he was winning with Diamond, but that whole plan backfired when his money got low.. He left a chick that was with him when he didnt have anything for a chick that left him when he flopped.. Perfect case of karma…

I too thought they were a cute cpl but they def shld not get bck together. Diamond showed when going gets tough shes gna skate. Money is important but not erthing…plus women nd to learn how to not depend on men for erthing n get yo own shit!

nah they good were they at apart IF they relationship was over money then that’s even more dumb to break up for and even though you look good together don’t mean it was meant for yah to be it was cute while it lasted but he need to focus on his relationship with the one he had a child by. getting that trust factor back into the situation even if yah not going to make it happen as a relationship at lease make it look like yah trying for yah daughter.I don’t feel they Cute or Good together idk it’s just my thoughts =) but if they do get back Good Luck .
i think they probably will but it wont last. he loves her yes but i think the roles turned around in this one. shes the guy(the cheater) in the relationship. i feel if money is the issue theres a better way way she could of handle it. i feel it was the attention she was getting from all these money makers that got to her. i also feel soulja boy probably wasnt the only one. plus to make thinks worst he knows he has a fall back plan with his baby mother. she took him back after all that and she will again. it sounds like she feel like shes won because he can back but thats not true. all she is , is a door mat with “welcome back” written on it. i understand she wants him to be there for his daughter but they dont have to be together for that

I agree, I LOVE Scrappy & Diamond together!! And financial stress can be hell, but like you said once they get older & get their $$$ up they’ll get back together!! What’s up with Scrappy mama having to tell him to check Stevie J for checking Erica (even though it looks like she held her own)?!?!?!!??!!

The show had all the good drama that we want…but it’s clearly FAKE!! I couldn’t get past the bad acting…my friends and I called it a Hip-Hopera! Shame on Vh1 for playing with our emotions…

My 1st time visiting ur blog an I love this post! I do think diamond an scrappy were a good match. But I could’ve swore they had a lil girl together! ! I sooo didn’t kno the lil girl they would parade around was not there own but Erica’s !!!!….I’m speechless

i agree i think they will get back together but erika is who i feel sorry for her to know that scrappy wants to be with diamond and not her has to hurt i just wanted him do a interview where he says he have never had his little heart broken and diamond did that he was ready to get married and settle down and i also seen when sway calls erika his girlfriend he says baby mama and he has said he did the show so he mama and babymama could get out his pocket and get there own check diamond was only 17 when she got with him so i think she might just need a little to find who she is without him but in the end i do believe they will be together
Yeah. It did seem like a bad soap opera but it’s entertainment. I don’t believe in being the richocet chick. I would not take a man back after he left me for anyone! Cut your losses early. Don’t reach back and repeat the heartache.
